Mahjong & Magnolias is a group of women in Franklin, Tennessee. We met through our children's school and began taking mahjong lessons together in late 2019. Before long, we were getting together to play mahjong every Wednesday. We fell in love with the game, the camaraderie, and the chance to gather in each other's homes every week. Our weekly gathering turned into a chance to entertain our friends — to pull out old cookbooks and the china we rarely use, arrange flowers, and set a beautiful table. We rediscovered the joy of hosting gracious gatherings.
It's Mahjong Day!
For us, Wednesday is Mahjong Day. We take turns hosting the group, where we catch up over lunch and then play mahjong. “It’s Mahjong Day" has become our Instagram feature, where we take turns sharing how we host a typical Mahjong Day, including menus, recipes, table decor, and more!
